I first heard of Eckert’s The Court-Martial of Daniel Boone while smack in the middle of writing my own Boone novel, The Last Battle of the Revolution. Not wanting to get another writer’s interpretation of Boone in my head, I resisted the temptation of tracking it down. Excited to finally read it.

As for The Bandit of Hell’s Bend—Tarzan of the Apes is one of my favorite books, and I recently discovered that Burroughs had written four Westerns. This is the first. Curious to see how he handles the genre. Dig that @borisvallejoartist cover!

I believe this is the 10th anniversary of Pistols At Dawn—it’s certainly the 10th anniversary of the graphics I created for the packaging, my first for Lonerider. Initially designed as a bottle label, the art was then modified for 16oz cans, followed by 12oz cans, then back to 16oz with the addition of the “Barrel-Aged” tag. The trail’s been long and winding, but the ride never dull!
